Kara Turns 18

PEOPLE PLACES - Flor Ynclino - The Freeman

Kristin Renee “Kara” Salimbangon turned all of 18 years young last June 9.

How time flies. I saw Kara grew to be what she is today… a beautiful young lady. When she was six years old, she dabbled in tennis and for many years until she was 12 years old. She gained national fame as the youngest champion in tennis in the country. Her young parents, Ken and Rhoanne Salimbangon were most proud of her achievements.

Held at the scenic Serenity Farm & Resort up in Busay hills, the coming-out celebration of Kara`s 18th birthday had a rustic motif… Kara being an outdoor type of a girl. Practically, all guests and relatives wore either black or white. But the debutante looked radiant in a red wine off-shoulder cocktail dress.

After Kara was presented the 18 roses and 18 candles placed on her birthday cake, her doting Dad Ken had the first dance and all eyes were on the debutante as she was whirled on the dance floor by her special man, father Ken Salimbangon, at sunset. This was followed by her grandfather Cesar Salimbangon who was second in line to dance with her.

A sumptuous dinner was served the guests, after which, the millennials had  their way of dancing and enjoying the evening`s birthday shindig.

For Kara, her debut was the most memorable and happiest day she had ever experienced in her lifetime!
