Endless Summer, Limitless Styles

Yasunari Ramon Suarez Taguchi - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines — A Cebu-based eco-conscientious activewear brand had its formal launch on June 9, bringing its take on the “multi-wear” concept to the fore.

Dubbed “Endless Summer” and staged at the rooftop pool of Quest Hotel & Conference Center Cebu, the occasion was top-billed by a poolside catwalk presentation on the latest swimsuits and activewear pieces by SOLTI Activewear.

The brainchild of Kymberly Maitland-Smith, the brand’s name is a play of the words “salty,” which holds close associations with the sea, and “sol,” which is Spanish for “sun.”

The wordplay pretty much reflects SOLTI’s brand philosophy, as it takes a playful design concept of products that can be styled and mix-and-matched not just for active outdoor excursions but for various other occasions as well.

From two-piece swimwear tops that can be worn as casualwear pieces to yoga pants that can be matched with resortwear ensembles, SOLTI’s product lines are tailored from upcycled fabric supply overruns.

This aspect of the brand serves as the heart of its eco-conscientious stance, which it takes to heart with a mostly reversible line – effectively making practical, two-in-one pieces.

The brand also utilizes reusable packaging for its products in the form of pouches and drawstring satchels, while it also adheres to fair trade standards.

Outside of its swimwear line, the brand also carries various resortwear pieces. In effect, SOLTI isn’t just about swimwear and activewear, but all in for fun, practical and relaxed styles.

ENDLESS SUMMER
