Kids' art exhibit

Ramon Suarez Taguchi - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - Do you know who Amadeo Modigliani is? How about Andy Warhol? Both are very, very well-known visual artists, so famous that they have inspired many creative individuals find their own artistic style, like the 29 students of One World Montessori who participated in an exhibit at the third level of the Ayala Center Cebu.

Titled “Kids’ Art Diaries,” the exhibit ran for five days from July 22 to 27. It was the second art exhibit organized by One World Montessori, and it featured artworks of kids under the guidance of art teachers Arlene Villaver and Roy Ryan Barral.

Teacher Arlene and Teacher Roy helped the kid-artists find their own style by showing them the works of famous artists like Amadeo and Andy. By doing that, the teachers gave the kids an idea on what and how they can draw or paint – inspiring the little ones to find their own style just like how the great masters of the arts found theirs.
