Dinner for DOT-7 Regional Director

Supposedly, the dinner honoring the new Department of Tourism-7 Regional Director Catalino E. Chan III was only with relatives and close friends. But it turned out that close relatives’ friends and close friends of some friends and media friends came to congratulate the newly-appointed Regional Director Catalino Chan III.

Venue of the dinner affair was the Cebu Country Club where food served is always fantabulous. Hosting the dinner were his uncle, Dr. Cesar Chan and wife Dr. Mila Chan, and cousins Dr. George Chan and Wife Chorie Chan who later hosted the short program.

Butch, as he is fondly called by relatives and friends, is not new to his assignment as Department of Tourism Regional Director based in Cebu since, in 2005, he was Tourism Regional Director in Region 10 where his office was based in Cagayan De Oro City.

Now, as the Regional Director of DOT-7, Butch has great plans for Cebu as a tourist destination. And. . . before the dinner party came to a close (after a short message he delivered too), his uncle Dr. Cesar Chan led in the toast for Butch’s success and continued good health. After which, he was filled with hugs and handshakes from all guests!
