An Outdoor Mecca for Family, Friends and Nature

CEBU, Philippines – The city has a new hangout hub that connects friends and family and makes them more in touch with nature. Cebu I.T. Park’s Garden Bloc, launched on December 11 in an event dubbed “A Night at the Garden,” offers a feel of the many exciting outdoor possibilities at the open park.

The launching event featured performances depicting the four elements of nature. The highlight was the switch-on ceremony led by Cebu Holdings Inc.’s Business Development Manager Romulo Alajid, Marketing Division Manager Catrina Martinez, Business Development Manager Nori Saito and Business Development Supervisor Gwen Sala. As trees surrounding the area lit up, The Social’s Kevin Moss, Sugbo Mercardo Food Market’s JP Chiongbian and Nino Bascon, Pages Holdings Inc.’s Bunny Pages, Yakski’s Barbecue’s Alvin Roxas and TaKo Mexican-Korean Fusion Food Truck’s Johann Bontuyan — executives behind the food concepts found at the Garden Bloc — took to the stage to unveil the commemorative marque.

Guests swarmed the three-hectare open space during the launching. Everyone delighting in the variety of foods around the park, and checked the lifestyle bazaar for Christmas gift items and unique discoveries. An outdoor concert featuring 22 Tango’s Mother Folker (a.k.a. Cattski Espina), Ella Melendez, Vincent Eco, Ivy Gallur and Mike Fegi and a surprise performance by Kurt Fick.

Envisioned to be an escape from the busy city life, the Garden Bloc is a relaxing and reenergizing space for family, friends and those awho are always on-the-go. Lined pathways beckon for a leisurely walk, jog or run under the trees. The Central Green, at the heart of the 5,000 –square-meter events area, can host a range of activities – from garden and outdoor events,  wellness sessions to bazaars and intimate concerts.
