Tree of Hope

The lighting of the "Tree of Hope" was held last November 28, 2015, with the theme: Peace on Earth. The Tree Lighting Ceremony was opened with a prayer followed by the blessing of the tree by Msgr. Roberto Alesna. Marco Polo Plaza's General Manager Ms. Julie Najar welcomed everyone to the event and shared why this year the hotel advocated peace for Christmas - because of recent events in the world. The hotel wanted to share a message of peace this Christmas season. GMA's Assistant Vice-President Ms. Mel Tiangco was unable to attend the occasion but she sent a video message thanking everyone who donated to the "Tree of Hope" in the past and encouraged everyone to continue doing so.

Mr. & Mrs. Claus also came to spread the Christmas spirit and the kids present went home with goodies, after they patiently fell in line to have their souvenir photo taken with the Christmas couple.

All proceeds will be given to GMA Kapuso Foundation - one of the most accomplished non-government organizations in the Philippines whose mission is to uplift the lives of underprivileged Filipinos.
