New "Batibot" Apps

The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - Mobile app spinoffs of the hit Filipino "Batibot" children's television program are now downloadable via Google Play.

Recently introduced by Smart Communications, via the its "#LearnSmart" education program, together with the Community of Learners Foundation and startup partner OrangeFix, the "Batibot Games" and "Batibot TV" apps were specifically developed for kids in the kindergarten to Grade 3 levels.

Featuring educational games like "Alin Ang Naiba?" and vocabulary-enrichment programs like "Kwentong Batibot," the mobile suites are primed towards helping young tech savvies learn basic concepts like identifying shapes, colors, numbers and letters.

The "Batibot Games" app also helps children with basic handwriting exercises via tracing activities and exercises. More information on the new "Batibot" apps and Smart's "#LearnSmart" education program is available at www.smart.com.ph/learnsmart. (YRST) (FREEMAN)
