A Bright Blu Christmas

CEBU, Philippines - It's that time of year again when joy is all around. And starting tomorrow, December 15, festive celebrations and exciting offerings await everyone at Radisson Blu Hotel Cebu.

Christmas Goodies, especially confectionary magic crafted by Executive Pastry Chef Allan Barrios, are available at the Gingerbread Store until January 6, 2015. Baked goodies and classic holiday dishes are also available, including gingerbread houses, cinnamon-banana cakes, Christmas pudding, whole roast turkey, beef wellington, honey ham, Peking duck and more.

There's also the elegantly wrapped traditional hamper consisting of red or white wine, tablea chocolate, assorted Christmas cookies, rum stollen bread, Christmas mince pie, panettone, homemade smoked salmon and smoked beef brisket. The deluxe hamper has additional goodies: Santa chocolate, Christmas pudding, marzipan stollen bread, herbs salt, barbecue robs, olive oil, and macaroons. (Two-day advanced reservation is required.)

Holiday Masses are scheduled on Christmas Eve, December 24, at 10 p.m.; on Christmas Day at 10:30 a.m. and on New Year's Eve, December 31, at 10 p.m., to be officiated by Father Ernesto Javier, S.J. at the Niña Ballroom.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Feasts happen at Feria, with a lavish Noche Buena, on December 24, that includes world-class dishes, delightful confections and carvings stations of Cebu lechon, turkey, salmon, ham and prime rib. The Christmas festivities keep rolling with the lunch and dinner buffets on December 25, with an international spread of well-loved dishes such as paella, fresh sushi and sashimi, carving stations and more. In the evening, a separate open bar with a selection of wines, sodas, chilled juices, and local beers is there to add a good kick after dinner.

Christmas family time becomes more memorable with plush comfort and relaxation at the hotel. Superior Room includes free breakfast buffet for two at Feria, plus daily afternoon high tea at the Lobby Bar and a 20 percent discount on either the Christmas Eve Dinner or the Christmas Day Lunch. ECLIPSE: The Neon Countdown Party at the Blu completes the holiday revelry. It's a New Year's Eve celebration, the biggest neon party in town, to usher in 2015, featuring Manila's top show band Highway 54 to entertain everyone with rockin' hits from the decades gone to today's Billboard chart toppers. Cebu's best, DJ Maw, spins the hottest beats to set the countdown in motion, with flowing drinks throughout the evening, a midnight buffet, exciting prizes and a grand fireworks display.
