Fight Diabetes a sweet alert
CEBU, Philippines - Diabetes is a silent killer. Its symptoms can be subtle and harmless. When these symptoms occur, like fatigue, unusual weight loss or gain, excessive thirst and appetite, increased urination, blurred vision and others, it is often ignored because they may not seem serious. It can attack any age and sometimes it's too late for cure.
Sweet Alert has already done a lot of projects for their advocacy and they want to do more. Along with their upcoming efforts to help more and be bigger, they recently launched their website: www.sweetalert.org. This way, they raise more awareness as well as opening more doors for those who want to help as well.
This organization have a sense of adventure in them too because they're more than willing to help as many barangays as they can even in the mountain areas. They organize seminars, nutrition education, sugar testing, free insulin injection and more.
They also have an on-going effort in giving free insulin treatment through Dr. Marian Kyamko Denopol from the Vicente Sotto Memorial Center and other affiliated doctors with authorized Sweet Alert prescriptions in their office at the JesEver Building in Fuente Osmeña. Other contact information is also available in their website.
In their desire to touch as much people as they can, they have worked closely with Insulin for Life Australia, the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC) Diabetes Clinic as well as the Department of Health. They would want to grow more to help more.
Indeed, Sweet Alert Society Inc. gives hope in the lives of those who are fighting diabetes. In fact, they will fight side by side with them. This society definitely brings them closer to winning the fight against diabetes, one sweet life at a time. (FREEMAN)
