Style Origin this weekend

CEBU, Philippines - The last leg of the Style Origin Series takes place in a two-day fashion event on August 2 and 3, at 6 p.m., at The Gallery of Ayala Center Cebu's new expansion wing.

On Saturday, August 2, at 6 p.m., the country's sought-after designers - all 37 of them! - present their masterpieces in the "Mensweek Fashion Show," with celebrity guests Jeric Teng and Kris Lawrence attending. On Sunday, August 3, at 6 p.m., celebrity couple Drew and Iya Villania-Arellano appears together with Cebu personalities in the "High Street Fashion Show" directed by Robby Carmona.

The designers featured in the "Mensweek Fashion Show" are Anthony Ramirez, Avel Bacudio, Bang Pineda, Bea Samson, Cary Santiago, Chris Diaz, Dennis Lustico, Don Sevilla, Edwin Ao, Gian Romano, Herbert Custodio, Ivar Aseron, Jaggy Glarino, James Reyes, Jeffrey Rogador, Jerome Ang, Jerome Lorico, Joel Escober, Joey Samson, Johann Manas, M. Barretto, Nixon Marquez, Noel Crisostomo, Norman Noriega, Philip Rodriguez, Philipp Tampus, Proudrace, Regine Dulay, Renan Pacson, Rhett Eala, Roland Alzate, Sassa Jimenez, Tonichi Nocom, Ulysses King, Willar Matteo, Y. Quisumbing and Ziggy Savella.

 For the "High Street Fashion show," the theme is "Southern Sophistication," where 37 participating brands aim to reflect the Cebu vibe and lifestyle with classic but trendy, hip and vibrant ensembles. Participating brands include Artwork, Bratpack, British India, Delsey, Etam, Flight 001, Folded and Hung, Gems and Designs, General,  Girbaud, Grind, Hot Pink, ISIS, Janilyn, Karimadon, Keds, Lady Bag, Marks & Spencer,  Nautica, Nima, Original Penguin, Parfois, Petit Bateau, Rainbow, Res Toe Run, ROX, Rustan's, Skechers, Sledgers, Sperry, SWATCH, The Travel Club, Tots, TUMI, WAGW, XOXO, and Yakpak.

 Now on its fourth year and in partnership with The Philippine STAR and Starworld, and in collaboration with the country's top lifestyle magazines Mega, Meg and Chalk, Style Origin empowers men and women with inspiring trends and focuses on the everyday fun - from funky ensembles to formal clothes that are relatable and wearable. The series kicked off last May in Glorietta and headed to Centrio Mall, Bonifacio High Street, MarQuee Mall, TriNoma, Fairview Terraces, Harbor Point, Market! Market!, Abreeza Mall and Alabang Town Center before finally coming full circle in Ayala Center Cebu.

 Style Origin, a signature event of Ayala Malls, is a series of activities that highlights music, fashion, design and lifestyle. It highlights distinguished homegrown brands, renowned Filipino designers and illustrious international labels.
