CEBU, Philippines - Summer vacation is almost over and everyone - parents and students - is in back-to-school mode.
Aside from school supplies and uniforms, one of the most important items to prepare for school, regardless of what level one is in, is the school bag. And while elementary kids want bags that feature popular cartoon characters, students who are in high school and college want bags that are trendy and unique. This is especially so for girls.
A bag is a girl's best friend. The female population just can't go without a bag - small ones, medium-sized ones or those really huge ones that look like sacks! You do not have to spend too much to have a trendy bag that can carry the items you need for school. The solution to your bag needs is just in your closet! T-shirts!
There are a lot of easy do-it-yourself or DIY projects that can turn old tees to a new, artsy and personalized bag. Here are some of the DIYs we found on the internet that can help you.

Step1: Cut off the neck and sleeve of a T-shirt, making it look like a tank top or a sando.
Step 2: Turn the shirt inside out. Cut the binding hem at the bottom.
Step 3: Tie the bottom of the shirt with a strip of cloth, making sure that it is secure and tight and voila, you already have a bag!

Step 1: Get an old T-shirt and draw a bag in the middle portion.
Step 2: Cut out the drawing that you made.
Step 3: Cut strips from the bottom of the shirt and make sure that you cut through both layers.
Step 4: Pull each strip downwards and tie a knot using the front and the back layer strips.
Step 5: Do Step 4 for all the strips you made and once you are done, you already have a hip bag for school.
