Most of my furniture, art, and even architecture are from Bali or is Balinese inspired. Even some of the staff is Balinese. I call it my three-hour Bali."

In her luggage: "Most of the things I need are already there, but I always bring a cashmere scarf and my By Wanga leather necklaces as well as whatever new clothing I haven't yet brought down, all the paper work I need to catch up on, and my journal-sketch pad to capture ideas."

Travel advice: "Travel with an open mind. It's the only way you'll discover something new and exciting."
