STI holds National Youth Convention

CEBU, Philippines - The 19th STI National Youth Convention will be going to the cities of Iloilo, Bacolod, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, General Santos, Davao, Naga and Puerto Princesa from January to March.

The Cebu leg of the convention was held last January 24 at the CAP Development Center.

The STI National Youth Convention (NYC) is an annual student convention organized for STI students to provide a venue for sharing trailblazing ideas to supplement classroom learning, generate awareness and inculcate lifelong learning skills essential for productivity and competitiveness in the job market.

This year's convention carries the theme "Social Media and Me: Discover the real life impact of every like share & post." Topics discussed during the convention are We are what we like: The influence of social media with Spanky Enriquez as the speaker; Think before you act: Act against cyberbullying with Sonnie Santos as speaker; and I care to share — Online recruitment & career opportunities with ExeQserve HR Solutions' president Edwin Ebreo as speaker.
