Waterfront Mactan Thanked International Volunteers

Waterfront Airport Hotel & Casino is very honored and privileged to house some of the international volunteers who came to help the victims of typhoon Yolanda. Right after the typhoon hit Tacloban and other neighboring provinces last November 8, 2013, several groups from different countries rushed to the Philippines to give aid in various ways.

As a simple gesture to extend their sincerest gratitude, last December 17, 2013, Waterfront Hotel Mactan organized an Appreciation Party for the international volunteers. The room was filled with men in uniform from the Royal Australian Air Force, Australian Army and Navy. Present also that night were groups from HKL Logistics, UNICEF, UNHCR, and World Food Programme. Team leaders and representatives from each organization shared some of their experience during their stay in the country.
