Ulli’s streets of Asia: A melting pot of godness

Constantly evolving, the Laguna Group continues to bring something new to Cebu. This time around, it is the fascination with our neighboring countries' exotic cuisines and urban cultures that influenced their latest venture, Ulli's Streets of Asia.

Ulli's Streets of Asia is not a flavorful homage to the colorful street food of Singapore, Hong Kong, and a bit of Japan, but it is also a window into their fast-paced lifestyles and charming traditions. "Ulli" comes from the third-generation for Urbina's term of endearment for their grandmother, Julita "Julie" Urbina, who started it all. As with all the Urbina's endeavors such as Café Laguna, Laguna Garden Café, Lemon Grass, U Kitchen and Laguna Catering, each member of the family dutifully plays a role in the conceptualization and realization of this new project. The countless hours of research  and studying of the regions' cuisines and customs have brought to life this expertly crafted culinary endeavor, allowing Cebuanos to relive the best of what these cultures have to offer.

Located on the rooftop garden in the new wing of the Ayala Center Cebu, Ulli's is not only a quick and easy dining respite among greenery and water features away from the actual busy streets of Cebu, but its menu also offers a bevy mouth-watering, crave-inducing healthy options from fresh fruit juice blends, healthy meals, and nutritious desserts.

Ulli's serves a variety of noodles, salads, and fish or prawn balls in broth or curries for starters, as well as grilled favorites like chicken wings, yakitori-style barbecues, and angusbeef rolls. Stone pot meals will also be available with patatim, shrimps, bamboo shoots, and tofu, among others, and then there are specials such as Szechuan ribets and Asian popiah, perfectly paired with their signature multi-grain fried ricemade to be shared. Staying true to the spirit of street food, all meals are prepared in plain sight, in an open-kitchen, while prices are kept affordable to attract the young and adventurous.
