Thanksgiving and GLLFI Graduation 2013

PEOPLE PLACES - Flor S. YNCLINO - The Freeman

Georich Livelihood & Learning Foundation, Inc. and Banilad Center for Professional Development had its graduation rites for its scholars who took basic housekeeping, basic baking and basic cooking. Held at the BCPD Bldg. along Archbishop Reyes Avenue, the program started with a welcome address by Mrs. Elizabeth Lopez, Director of BCPD and Ms. Marlinda Angbetic Tan, Secretary of GLLFI, followed by a Recognition Speech by Mrs. Felisa Yap Chiongbian, President of GLLFI.

Actually, Banilad Center for Professional Development prepares young women for employment or entrepreneurship through technical skills training and work ethics imbued with Christian values.

In attendance during this event were Zonta Club I officers led by its president Lucille Colina. Zonta Club I has sponsored some students who took up cooking. The Zontians present were: Anita Sanchez, Tina Ebrada, Stella Bernabe, Tess Chan, Lucy Segura, Lally Chiu and Linda Binghay. We also saw society matron Rosebud Sala who is a patroness of some students.

The school is a project of the Foundation for Professional Training, Inc., a non-stock, non-profit, non-governmental organization that envisions “women committed to service and human development.” FPTI operates four other technical-vocational schools in Metro Manila and Laguna.
