CEBU, Philippines - Crimson Resort and Spa Mactan recently held an environmental awareness conference for its employees, focusing on the positive implications inherent in the reduce, reuse and recycle philosophy.

Held in the Coral Ballroom last March 11, the “Crimson Goes Green Conference” was organized with the intention that its participants would take the issues of global climate change seriously, not only implementing the best practices of resource conservation at work but also in their respective homes and communities.

Keynote speaker, Cleofe Solis, Consultant to the Lapu-Lapu City Environment and Natural Resources Office, talked about how much of an impact proper solid waste management and segregation has in the overall state of our ecosystem, just as Executive Chef Stuart Blair shared his experience in talking part in eco-friendly programs, advocacies and initiatives.

With more than 50 participants to the occasion, the “Crimson Goes Green Conference” was launched after the focused preparations and planning by the Crimson Resort and Spa Mactan Green Council, chaired by Charlotte Ganza, People Development Manager, Crimson Resort and Spa Mactan.

As one of Mactan’s prestigious and respected resorts, Crimson Resort and Spa Mactan holds the distinction of being one of the 2013 World Luxury Hotel Awards Nominees.

Nestled in a 6-hectare expanse, the venue has built a solid reputation in combining comfort and style in all of its featured services and amenities, consistently earning the nods of visitors and guests.

By hosting the “Crimson Goes Green Conference”, the resort essentially asserts that it is more than just about offering tourists and guests the best of services, but also conscientious about the state of our environment.  (FREEMAN)
