Teens go on a not so typical hike in the woods in the Ultimate Survivor Challenge

The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - No videogames, no Internet, no food court... no kidding! This is all real. In the tradition of Discovery Channel’s hit series SURVIVORMAN, SURVIVE THIS is back for a second season and follows in Les Stroud’s footsteps by empowering kids to explore their connection to the wild. Eight teenagers between the ages of 13 to 17 are taken into the North American wilderness with Les to fulfill their personal journey. Whether it’s facing a fear or simply just proving something to themselves, no one decides, except the individual, if and when they’re going to leave. As Les puts it, this is not a game show – it’s serious business where these brave teens must learn and execute the basics of survival –  building shelter, purifying water, starting and keeping a fire going and making it through days of exile away from the pack. There are no big prizes, no secret alliances and most importantly, no voting each other out as the participants work together to make it out of the wild in this ultimate survivor challenge. SURVIVE THIS 2 premieres daily at 4:00 p.m., starting Tuesday, January 8 on Discovery Kids. Encores on the same day at 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m.
