CEBU, Philippines - The Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Mandaue Business Month 2012 culminated with a Gala Night featuring "The Swinging 60s" last September 10 at the Oakridge Pavilion, Oakridge Business Park.
The guests relived the memories of the colorful decade highlighting the renditions of the music of the 60s beat. MCCI members performed the fictional 60s pop band "The Wonders" playing the famous songs "That Thing You Do" and "I Need You."
Another fun and nostalgic production number was led by Philip Tan, MCCI president, featuring "The Temptations," an American vocal group known for their five-decade career that rendered their recognizable choreography, distinct harmonies, and flashy onstage suits performing "My Girl."
Not to be outshone by the gentlemen, the ladies gracefully brought back the nuances of "The Supremes" with a song from the movie "Dream Girls."
Cebu's very own Pop and Soul diva Ms. Eva Santos also entertained the guests with songs from the 60s and Broadway musical.
MCCI also gave recognition to the people and organizations who have shared and extended their valuable services in support of the Mandaue Business Month 2012 chaired by Girlie Garces.
The Gala Night was chaired by Vicky Dy and co-chaired by Brian Chua. (FREEMAN)
