Cebu carousel Spanish Month Launch

CEBU, Philippines - Spanish Ambassador Jorge Domecq was guest of honor during the annual opening of Spanish Month at Casino Español de Cebu. About 150 guests attended the event held at the club's ballroom, Salon de España.

Ambassador Domecq was welcomed by Casino Español President Antonio Veloso Jr. and the rest of the officers: Vice President Editho Tirol, secretary Gabriel Leyson; treasurer David Chan; and Francisco Jarque Jr., director of cultural and social events.

A buffet of Spanish specialties was served, along with fine wines from Spain. There were speeches and toasts, plus entertainment numbers. The evening ended with audience participation as Spanish flamenco music was played.  (FREEMAN)
