SM City consolacion opens!

Another milestone for the SM group recently opened its doors to the public last June 1, the SM City Consolacion!

Located on a 44.515 square meter property along the National Highway in Barangay Pitogo, Lamac, Consolacion, SM Prime Holdings brings shopping with leisure and entertainment closer to northern Cebu.The three-level 106.857 square meter mall is ndeed a welcome development to what is considered as the "Gateway of the North", the booming town of Consolacion and its neighboring towns. The new landmark in the area looks vibrant with its well-proportioned exteriors, reflecting SM's innovative approach to retail, all detailed for a more modern and sophisticated appearance – a combination of crisp colors and materials, curved façade and carefully proportioned forms.

The mall houses the two-storey SM Department Store, an SM Supermarket, SM mainstays like the SM Appliance Center, Watsons, ACE Hardware, a Cyberzone, a Food Court with al fresco dining as well as 140 local, national and international brands that offer countless products, food concepts and services, a state of the art four digital theaters with a total seating capacity of 1,488 persons (the first outside Cebu City). The mall's highlight is a huge atrium and Event Center which can accommodate major events, exhibits, trade fairs and other large scale activities.

No less than Mr. Hans T. Sy, president of SM Prime Holdings, Inc. and his brother Mr. Herbert Sy, President of Supervalue, Inc. along with Annie Garcia, Presdient of Shopping Management Corp. and Mr. Jorge Mendiola of SM Retail, Inc., welcomed all the V.I.P. guests, media and tenants during the cocktail party they hosted the day before the grand opening.
