CEBU, Philippines - In the heart of Cebu City lies Cebu Centre for Dance, the newest dance and fitness center in town. It is composed of well-trained and qualified teachers whose aim is to provide the highest quality of dance training, opportunity for the talented, disciplined & dedicated students to fully explore and develop their potential. Be it ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop or any other form of dance, CCD gives our students the tools necessary to bring technical precision, dramatic passion and individual artistry to their performance. To be able to achieve this, CCD makes sure to invite not only accomplished but also well-trained teachers to give workshops and special classes to their students. This will help instill important values and qualities such as commitment, hard work, discipline, self-improvement and the motivation to succeed.

Last June 21, with the blessing of Ballet Manila (the leading ballet company in the country), CCD was able to invite one of the company's Senior Soloist and faculty member, Ms.Sofia Sangco-Peralta, to give a Master's class to the Ballet 2 and Advance students. Ballet Manila has been known for its excellence in classical ballet training and exquisite productions and performances, not only in the Philippines but all over the world, as well.

The company specializes in the Russian (Vaganova) method of classical ballet under the watchful eye of Artistic Director Lisa Macuja-Elizalde and Ballet Master Osias Barroso. "You can just see it in the performances. Sofia together with her husband, Romeo Peralta who is also a soloist dancer of Ballet Manila, inspired all the dancers including parents and guests who were watching the class. The students had so much fun dancing their hearts out and absorbing all corrections Teacher Sofia shared. The students went home with big smiles on their faces.
