A taste of Cebu

It was another successful project of the Hotel, Resort & Restaurant Association of Cebu, Incorporated (HRRAC) when they presented "A Taste of Cebu," a two-day event held last May 19 and 20 at the Terraces of the Ayala Center Cebu featuring the best culinary specialties of the Queen City of the South. The gastronomic feast offered sumptuous and budget-friendly meal options that came in denominations of P50, P100 and P200.

The 14 booths of participating HRRACI member establishments included Cebu City Marriot Hotel, Imperial Palace Water Park Resort and Spa, Plantation Bay Resort and Spa, Cebu Parklane Hotel, Alta Village Resort, Crimson Resort and Spa, Marco Polo Plaza Hotel, Hotel Elizabeth, Laguna Garden Cafe, La Tegola, PSCA, Radisson Blu Hotel, Alegre Beach Resort and Spa and Shangri-la Mactan Resort and Spa.

Exciting activities were also lined-up for the whole family to enjoy such as the cookie decorating and pizza making contests for children, an Open Flare (Bartending) Competition, Fruit Carving competition and the Grilled Burger Throw Down where the Executive Chefs of member HRRACI establishments battle it out for the best grilled burger in town.

The event was also covered lived via Y101 and its world streaming on www.y101fm.com in cooperation with Globe Telecom. Cebu's pride Maybelle Padillo wowed the crowd with her amazing performance. A total performer, Maybelle is also a song writer, pianist and a professional belly dancer cum teacher. The Children's Hour was the event beneficiary in support of their advocacy and projects.
