CEBU, Philippines - Some 20-plus years ago, Wilfredo Chy learned something – you can get seriously injured from weightlifting. Taking heed from his “injured experience,” Chy then recognized the benefits and value to be found in a well maintained fitness facility, with modern fitness equipment and qualified professional staff ready and waiting to be of service.

From here, Bodytone Lifestyle Center was born.

Keen on jotting down the variables and factors which made a fitness center trustworthy, Bodytone Lifestyle Center was established by Wilfredo Chy in 1991, initially as a basic fitness and health and wellness venue at Echavez Street, eventually growing into a true-to-definition fitness center in the city’s Capitol Area.

By the mid-90s, Bodytone Lifestyle Center found a home in the Second Level of the Machay Building along Gorordo Avenue, where it has been – close to 15 years – of service to Cebu with its diverse and comprehensive health and wellness programs.

Celebrating its 21st Anniversary last May 8, Bodytone Lifestyle Center continues to offer its features and services to the Cebuano community, highlighting aerobics classes, in-house trainer services, state-of-the-art workout and physical exercise equipment, and more.

“As a fitness venue, we’ve always taken pride with our take on safety, particularly when the use of exercise equipment is being talked about,” shares Mary Marjorie Chy – CEO, Bodytone Lifestyle Center.

“We’ve also adopted a “be at home”, cool relaxed vibe, a feature which anyone would welcome to come from a fitness center.” she further comments.

From not requiring specified dress codes, to the genuine smiles of its qualified personnel and staff, Bodytone Lifestyle Center’s take on “be at home” is as close to really being at home, a fitness center which doesn’t inhibit or put on added pressure on anyone.

With in-house trainers whose experience covers a 20-year timeframe, Bodytone Lifestyle Center’s featured fitness equipment includes modern treadmills and stationary bicycles, with Nautilus-branded weights equipment – the first fitness center in Cebu to offer this highlight.

At 21 years old, Bodytone Lifestyle Center stands proud in its role as Cebu’s premier fitness facility, defined for being one of the city’s oldest, best run and most established fitness club to ever be.
