Family fun at St. James Amusement Park

CEBU, Philippines - Happy summer! Are you stuck in the house playing computer games or watching TV all day? Tell mom and dad to bring you to St. James Amusement Park!

St. James, located at the North Reclamation Area, is a great place for family bonding. Each member of your family will have something to be busy with at the park.

Joy Climaco, the park’s general manager, said that aside from the rides such as Anchors Away and bump cars, there are now new attractions such as the skateboard park, the trampoline, games to test one’s skill at the gallery and, the Inflatable City.

“Inflatable City is especially for kids and the kids at heart. There are inflatables where kids can climb up and slide down or just simply bounce around and play with others,” Tita Joy said.

While most of the attractions within the Inflatable City are for small children, there is one feature that everyone can enjoy and in fact, is one of the most exciting attractions of the amusement park – the world’s longest and tallest inflatable waterslide! The waterslide, which is 50 feet long and 30 feet tall, will certainly be a great and thrilling experience that you and your family can enjoy. Just don’t forget to bring extra clothes because you will surely get wet!

Tita Joy emphasized that all the rides and attractions at the park are safe. “We are very strict when it comes to safety standards so parents do not need to worry,” she said.

The St. James Amusement Park is open everyday from 4pm to midnight. Entrance to the park is at P60, which comes with a free St. James bottled water. Tokens for the different rides and the attractions at the Inflatable City are sold at P35 each. If you want to try all the rides and stay at the park long, you can avail of the All-Day Pass at P300, which gives you an unlimited opportunity to try everything that the park has to offer. The park also accepts functions such as parties, corporate events and teambuilding activities.

Hungry or thirsty while going around the park? Not to worry! Tita Joy said there are food stalls and snack counters around the park that serve drinks, hotdogs, popcorn, sandwiches, and even rice meals!

In the evening, park guests are treated to a Disney show by the San Diego Dance Company. You favorite Disney characters come alive during this unique presentation, and, after their performance, you can have your pictures taken with the different characters!
