New Era redefines budget travel stay

- Maria Eleanor E. Valeros -

CEBU, Philippines - A lot of people would love to travel, but a tight budget often comes in the way when people from the provinces think of visiting the city. Budget is always a consideration when businesses or organizations think of expansion or for conventions or regional meetings, this according to ACL Design & Builders director Adrian Lee.

New Era Pension Inn, conveniently located on New Era Street, Mabolo, Cebu City, has an answer to the budget-conscious traveler.

The inn, which opened formally last March 9, also launched a pre-paid coupon system. The forty coupons are sold at P28,628 which gives the traveler 40 room nights a year. Coupon buyers can avail of Couple's Room, Double Solo Rooms, and Family Rooms.

The coupons are payable in 12 months on pay lite mode, using a BDO credit card; or a 10-percent discount for cash or outright credit card payments.

"That's great value! Regular rooms with a supposed average regular value of P1,588 get sold for as low as P628 per night - no peak or off peak, no blocked dates. You just need to book in advance and get a confirmation code," Lee shared.

And because coupon booklets are valid on a one-year basis, these can be given as gifts, assigned to employees, or even sold as a travel package by travel agencies.

"However, the prepaid coupon booklet is on limited offer only," Lee added, "sold on limited time and limited quantity, so contact New Era Pension Inn and look for Miss Malou Camus this early. She will be glad to email you the terms and details. Or we can also be reached at 032-5203362, 032-2665561, 032-5143466, 09238424083 or by email: [email protected].

The location gives every traveler that village atmosphere, even when the facility is right at the heart of Metro Cebu. Just a few steps out of the New Era Pension Inn is Pope John Paul II Avenue (formerly Juan Luna Avenue or San Jose de la Montana). This street leads to SM City Cebu, Asia Town IT Park, Waterfront Cebu City Hotel, or at the Cebu Business District and Ayala Center Cebu. Everything is five minutes away literally.

Lee also enthused that because of the current needs of the market, the inn is already a wi-fi zone and that it is for free. This budget tourist and travelers inn is also equipped with 23 rooms, an elevator, 24 hours back-up generator, RFID card locks system, LED television set with cable, hot and cold shower, room safety vaults, and 24-hour security surveillance system.

Rooms go as low as P628 per night for a solo room with free breakfast for one. "What makes this bed and breakfast budget inn dining experience unique is - room stays come with free meal coupons for Ngohiong Express - open 24 hours, 365 days a year. Guests need not hurry up and make it to an early breakfast - instead they can claim their free meals anytime of the day," he also pointed out.

Further, one can experience the services of differently abled masseurs at a discounted rate at the comfort of the guest's own room or in the massage salon.

To add value to the stay, a synergy of travel experience, New Era Pension Inn guests enjoy discounts and freebies with partner shops like Citi Souvenirs in SM City Cebu and Windows of Cebu Pasalubong Center.

As of this writing, the Backpackers Room (a big room with two common comfort rooms and double-deck beds with individual cabinets and vault per head sold at P288 overnight promo rate, P528 regular rate) is not yet ready for ocular inspection. It will be tackled in a separate article, though.
