Baby Love

We instantly fall in love with our babies the moment we know a little one is growing inside our womb; even better, when you feel the baby kicking. This unconditional love becomes even more realistic once the baby is born – it’s just the natural way. Taken from the helpful resource, Babycentre.com, here are some signs that indicate how your baby may feel about you, too.

(1) You newborn looks/stares into your eyes. Your baby is working hard to memorize your face since he/she doesn’t know anything else in this world apart from you. At this point in life, your baby will feel that you are the most important person in the world!

(2) Your baby thinks of you most especially when you are not around and will be upset when you leave the room or when he/she sees you getting dressed to go outside of the house. This happens around the 8th to 12th month. Nevertheless, your baby will smile upon your return.

(3) Your baby throws tantrums. Your child trusts you and feels comfortable with you; this is one way of letting it out – to you and not to others who may seem unfamiliar to him/her.

(4) Runs to you for comfort. It is upsetting to see children who fall down or who are sad/hurt/embarrassed but then run to their nannies for comfort as opposed to their mommies and daddies. If a child will run to you during this moment, take pride in that!

(5) Gives you a small gift or shares things with you. Your child is happy to give you a drawing, a handpicked flower, a sandwich, etc. and doesn’t fail to share things with you such as a new toy, any artwork and more – it only means that YOU are special!

(6) Trusting you with secrets. Once a child tells you a secret, keep it. You are probably his/her only confidante even if your child shies away from your hugs and kisses in public but is the complete opposite at home.
