Bluewater Gallery features WAWART Debut Exhibit

CEBU, Philippines - The contemporary art group WAWART is holding its first exhibit at the Bluewater Gallery at the Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort. The exhibit, entitled “Sawum” (“dive” in Cebuano), which opened last December 3, will run until January 9, 2012.

The art exhibit takes inspiration from the gallery’s pristine beach setting and thus attempts to reflect the “question of the elemental.”

The curated show features video art, sculptures, indoor and outdoor installations along with wall-bound works.

Live art performances highlighted the opening program, which was attended by 2011 Miss Universe finalist, Shamcey Supsup, as the guest of honor.
