Birthdays Galore!

PEOPLE PLACES - Flor S. YNCLINO -

Three wonderful friends celebrated their respective birthdays recently, though separately.

First to celebrate was Dr. Wend Lucero who opted to have a Chinese lauriat at Tingow restaurant at Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino. Dr. Weng with hubby Dr. Armand Lucero, entertained some 60 relatives and friends mostly colleagues in the medical field. For entertainment, Weng had a group of four musicians that rendered a lot of songs of the 60s and 70s. The birthday girl Weng was the happiest person that day for having reached half a century.

The second birthday celebrator was a dear friend Meren Gepilano whose lunch was at Shabu-Shabu resto at The Terraces. The usual group Meren had from her Beautiful Cebu Movement was there to share the happy moments, and, being a widow with more of her children now living abroad, Meren had so much fun with her "real" friends. Happy birthday, Nyora, may you have many more to come!

And our last birthday marker was good friend Lita Cabugao, whose husband, Capt. Joe Cabugao, wouldn't let the day pass without marking the day appropriately. So, there was a luncheon party at Pino Restaurant. Indeed, their children and grandchildren were present, except for eldest son Capt. Clifford Cabugao who was abroad, but his family was all accounted for.

Being active members of Jesu Christi Community, of course, the members of the community were around to share Lita's happiness as she added one more year to her "blessed" life.

To the three celebrators, may you have more years to celebrate your birthday!
