The Persimmon North Tower

CEBU, Philippines - The second tower of The Persimmon,  Cebu City's first integrated vertical community, has been completed.

That's why on September 30, a blessing of the North Tower was carried out in the presence of AboitizLand personnel led by its chief executive officer Andoni Aboitiz, with friends from the media, and the firm's clients/condo occupants as well as tenants of The Persimmon Plus.

AboitizLand marketing manager Leorelei Ylaya said that the North Tower has 157 condominium units, and that these have already been handed over to unit owners with finished residences and top-grade facilities.

In a statement, AboitizLand said that "like the three other towers that make up the residential enclave, including The Persimmon West which was completed last year, The Persimmon North has landscaped open spaces, its own function and board rooms and administration and security offices."

Through a brief ocular inspection of their model units, Ylaya showed the features of the building's studio-, one-, two-bedroom and loft units.

Studios have a floor area of from 23 to 32 square meters, while loft units have from 43 to 141 square meters of living space. Each residence at The Persimmon has a view of either the Cebu City's hillsides or the Cebu harbor and Bohol Strait.

Ylaya also informed that all units are fitted with modern conveniences like drying cages, service areas, garbage rooms and provisions for airconditioning, cable television and telephone lines.

Together with the turnover of The North Tower, The Persimmon children's playground and swimming pool have been opened for the use of vecinos and their guests.

Vecinos, by the way, is the Spanish word to mean "neighbors". It is AboitizLand's term for its clients or homeowners. The said turnover of The Persimmon North to the vecinos marks over 50 percent construction progress on the high-profile mid-end project.

The Persimmon is AboitizLand Inc.'s first vertical residential project. It is anchored by a commercial strip, The Persimmon Plus, and is located along M.J. Cuenco Avenue in the quaint Mabolo district. In addition, it was learned that the name is taken from "persimmon fruit" which is the English equivalent of the local fruit "mabolo."

    The Persimmon has the distinct advantage of a good location, attractive pricing and the added convenience of an integrated commercial hub. Owing to these outstanding features, The Persimmon West was sold out within a year of its launch. The Persimmon North is "almost sold out," Ylaya confirmed.

Speaking at the turnover event, AboitizLand CEO Andoni Aboitiz reiterated his company's commitment to the creation of nurturing communities.

 Aboitiz assured vecinos of his team's dedication to their welfare through the services of the company's Property Management Team whose representative in all the company's projects ensures that they have "the ultimate real estate experience."

He added that his company will soon be breaking ground for the third and fourth towers of the village. (FREEMAN)
