Have Havaianas, Will Travel

- Bobit S. Avila -

CEBU, Philippines - To really play up travel and the act of travelling, Havaianas dressed up the SM  North Wing Atrium as an airport, with terminal gates, flight attendants, ambient airport sounds and even a Havaianas passenger lounge, designed and provided by Detalia Aurora (we really hope you can mention Detalia Aurora; it would be greatly appreciated!). The dishes served represented the nine destinations and travel pins featured in this year’s event: Australia, London, Italy, Paris, Japan, China, Brazil, New York and the Philippines. The 6th Make Your Own Havaianas in Cebu carried the theme ”Travel in Personalized Style” organized by Leanne Florendo and Aimil Sarmiento of A.L. Amizade Marketing Inc., exclusive sub-distributors of Havaianas in Central and Eastern Visayas

The special Estampas soles featured arrival stamps of countries where Havaianas is available and what year the brand arrived there. The Havaianas Citizens of Summer are individuals who make it summer all year long. Fun, stylish people who truly live out the summer spirit of Havaianas wherever they go —those who inspire others with their summer spirit and vibe. The six handpicked Cebu personalities are: Michael James Lhuillier, Mark Lotzof, Paul John Kiener, Lani Taylor Pasquet, Mia Arcenas and Divine Maitland Smith. Havaianas is a style that cares. This year, for every purchase of a Make Your Own Havaianas pair with the Harajuku Doll pin, part of the proceeds will be donated to the earthquake survivors of Japan through the Philippine Red Cross.
