CEBU, Philippines -  PLDT SME Nation's newest innovation, the PLDT CheckOut, allows SMEs to go wireless with their inventory. This is in fact the first web-based Point-of-Sale system in which SMEs can monitor store operations anywhere using the internet - "no need for high-end hardware and server requirements." "PLDT Check Out minimizes the cost of having a POS system. The convenience of tracking stores' sales transactions and inventory levels is now within reach for many SMEs," said PLDT SME Nation Head Kat Luna-Abelarde.

ChekOut was officially launched in Metro Cebu via the CheckOut SummerBiz Bazaar last May 20 where local merchants and those from Manila, as well were able to experience the technology.

Monthly service fee is at P2,750 per store or branch, and a one-time fee of P500. (FREEMAN)
