CEBU, Philippines -While we are at the tail end of summer, we rush to the beach for a scorching summer cap. Joanna C. Here are a few quick tricks on how to blow off the harsh remnants of summer:

Sun-damaged skin

According to the Skin Cancer Foundation's online portal, 90 percent of skin cancer cases are caused by severe sun exposure. Sunflower oil's smoothing property is its winning stamp. Foremost, it's best for dry skin. When beachcombing is over, simply massage an ample amount of sunflower oil on your skin to moisturize.

A simple moisturizing remedy and short exposure under the sun can go a long way. Joanna recommends the Sunflower Beauty Oil which is primarily for under eye dark circles and wrinkles but can now act as make-up remover and of course, as skin moisturizer without making one's skin greasy and sticky. Dry hair

Fact: Your hair absorbs chlorine (swimming pool) and saltwater that result to frizzy and dry hair. This calls for an "intensive recovery" remedy that a natural hair treatment can do. Joanna recommends the Intensive Recovery Hair Mask from Avocado and Gugo Bark which you can apply before you wet your hair. Use it as a conditioner. You'll notice that your hair won't absorb much of the harmful chemicals. The organic virgin coconut oil added to the product will leave your locks soft and shiny. Avocado is a natural remedy for hair fall, dandruff, thinning and dryness because of its nutrient content such as Vitamins A, D, E and B6, proteins, among other nutrients essential for hair growth and nourishment. Gugo bark, on the other hand, is famous as a home remedy for dandruff, head lice and hair re-growth. This is instant hot oil!

Summer glow
