Induction Ceremony

The Cebu Chapter of the Consular Corps of the Philippines held a formal induction ceremony at the Marco Polo Plaza Hotel. Hugh Wilson, Consul General of Australia and Dean of the Consular Corps of the Philippines was the guest speaker and inducting officer. Governor Gwen Garcia gave her inspirational message. Inducted into office were: Honorary Consul of Russian Federation Armi L. Garcia, chairperson; Honorary Consul of Germany Franz Seidenschwarz, vice chairman; Honorary Consul of the United Kingdom Moya Jackson, secretary; Honorary Consul of Spain Jaime Picornell, outgoing chairman and incoming treasurer; Honorary Consul of Canada Robert Lee, incoming director. The guests who attended the affair were Georgette Wilson, Acting Vice Governor Agnes Magpale, Mactan Airport Manager Paul Vilarte and media friends Nelia Neri, Chinggay Utzurrum, Jenara Newman and this writer.
