CEBU, Philippines - “The demand (for smartphones) is growing. The feature phones’ growth is very fast that it’s even faster than the computer,” quipped Acer Philippines, Inc. General Manager Manuel Wong. It is for this reason this computer manufacturer came up with its first set of smartphones designed according to modern needs with sleek aesthetics and functional features.

Acer Liquid E-Ferrari Edition

Wave the checkered flag for its flagship product, the Liquid E-Ferrari Edition which embodies a Ferrari’s character of power and performance. With an exclusive Scuderia design, this “pocket computer” has Ferrari written all over it – Ferrari wallpapers, images, videos, ringtones, design aesthetics such as carbon fiber Ferrari shield, and “a glossy fiery red finish,” the Bluetooth-enabled headset (with the Ferrari logo) and the Android Éclair 2.1 version OS for faster navigation. This new Android operating system has features such as “voice-activated functions, quick sync and multitasking options, three predictive keyboards, five-page homescreen, a web browser that supports HTML5, and instant access to over 50,000 apps on the Android Market,” the press release states.

Specs

For YouTube aficionados/video buffs, this mobile phone is designed for a much pleasurable viewing with its 3.5 inches high-res screen. It has processor running at 768 MHz with 512MB RAM active memory. Social Media links are preloaded for an instant link to your social networks through faster and easier photo and video uploads, instant communication and get updates real-time.

Other specs include: High-speed Wi-Fi and HSDPA 7.2Mbps connectivity, 8GB SD card, 5-megapixel autofocus camera, 480p video recording and 400-hour battery standby time. 

Acer Liquid E

Like the Ferrari Edition, the Liquid E (still uses the Android Éclair 2.1 OS) is designed for the active mobile Internet user, as well. This multipurpose and fully functional smartphone affords high-impact graphics, seamless browsing and access to the virtual world/social media, pre-installed apps for business and pleasure (gaming).

Acer beTouch E130

This has a full Qwerty keyboard and 2.6-inch touch screen. beTouch E130 is positioned as a Message Master with its fast messaging, high-speed communication via social networking without worrying too much because of its extra-long battery life (Lithium-poly 1500 mAh, that is 400-hour standby time or 300-minute talk time). It supports Microsoft Exchange, Woed, Excel, Powerpoint and PDF files – made for the highly on-the-go executive.
