Father and daughter hold art show

CEBU, Philippines - Artist-writer Radel Paredes and his 13-year old daughter Celina will hold an exhibit together entitled "Ode to Joy" at the Diwata Gallery of the new Kukuk's Nest in Nasipit, Talamban, February 7, at 6:30 pm.

This will be the first time that the father and daughter tandem will hold an exhibit together. Celina, a budding artist, will present a series of acrylic paintings inspired by the Russian artist Marc Chagall.

 The works include a remake on canvas of Celina's entry in the recent Artwork Happy Tees t-shirt design contest, which was one of the finalists selected for exhibition at a mall in Manila last December.

His father will present a selection of fine prints. (FREEMAN)
