Jetsetting in One Sinulog Weekend

CEBU, Philippines - Between variety shows and hefty lechon, eyefuls of the Sinulog grand parade and super major walks, I was amused and overwhelmed with the influx of human traffic all over the Metro. It was like everyone in the Philipines was in Cebu and wondered who was watching the rest of the country!

Sinulog Friday had us overdosing on testosterone as we watched the URCC-6 Fight held at the CICC. One of the main features that night pitted Ricardo Sapno against our boy Tom Woodfin who knocked out Sapno in six minutes. All that mixed martial arts Welterweight division training sure paid off, Tommy!

Penthouse surely houses the best afterparty with its Jetset Weekend launch that welcomed our talented DJ friends from the capital: Dj Ace Ramos, Funk Avy, Elmer Dado, MC Dash, Jon Herrera, and BCal.

I always have a micro heart attack whenever I bump into local celebrities. I had to feign indifference when we saw James Yap, KC Montero and Akihiro Sato in one room. They were paying tribute to Hed Kandi’s Andy Daniels who rocked CICC with his amazing house music last Sinulog Saturday.

We were warned that Sinulog weekend would be all wet and less fun but I guess Penthouse Cebu regulars weren’t dissuaded! Despite the heavy rain, we saw the longest line ever created by men and women in their best Sinulog ensemble. Till next year, Sinulog!
