Best of Cebu 2011

- Bobit S. Avila -

CEBU, Philippines - Indeed, the show must go on  rain or shine! And raining it was for the annual Best of Cebu 2011 presentation, which was aired live on many local and international television channels showcasing Cebu’s best in terms of fashion, beauty, music, dance and culture. Leggy and statuesque models from M.A.C.>Models Association of Cebu braved the rain to give a dedicated performance to the Child Jesus on His feast day along with other performers from different fields.

Centuries of trading with China has transformed Cebu to what it is today. A modern metropolis with strong Chinese influences evident in sight, sound and taste – summing up to the whole cultural mix, festive and reflective! These same influences captured by Cebu’s quasi talented aesthetes in a collection dripping with rich Chinoiserie Chic.

Ladies and gentlemen, in this spread are the Chinese inspired collections of Barbie Alvez, Protacio, Edwin Ao, Edwin Alba, Philip Tampus, Albert Arriba, William Manahan, Marichu tan, Cary Santiago and Philip Rodriguez. Bravissimo! (FREEMAN)
