Linda Logarta, a true-blue Cebuana who grew up in Mandaue, had a beautiful celebration of her birthday when she turned a year older last December 3. Held at the famous Cast Away Restaurant, some 70 guests were invited by Linda to her birthday gathering. Castaway, by the way, is located on top of the Glendale hills commanding a panoramic vista of the cities of Glendale and Burbank. As we drove up the winding road to the top, we could see the marvelous sights and lights of the city from the high rise buildings down below.
Linda, wearing an ecru gown made in Manila for this special occasion, which was brought all the way by fave nephew Eddieboy Limbaco, was in her elements, and was in glitters. Albeit undergoing dialysis, she looked in the pink of health, smiling all the time as she welcomed her guests.
Dinner was just superb and we loved the Greek salad, one of the four salads served. Immediately after dinner, Linda blew the candles on her birthday cake. After which, dancing followed with a live band playing Linda’s favorite songs of yesteryears. Then the festejada danced the waltz, but exhibiting his expertise in dancing was Rupert Ouano, also a Mandauehanon who, heard it told is now a multi…mil, who only drives a Bentley or Rolls Royce. Wow!!!
As the guests were on their feet dancing, Linda’s brother Ramon did the boogie and cha-cha with elan. Shades of BF days huh! At any rate, Linda after her birthday bash, flew to Las Vegas with her nephew Eddieboy to thank him for planning and authoring her most successful birthday celebration!!!
