A Beautiful Trip To Malaysia

University of the Visayas President, Congressman Eduardo R. Gullas, his wife Madame Norma Francisca Selma Gullas and eldest grandson, UV Asst. VP Gerald Anthony “Samsam” Gullas Jr. were invited and honored by Malaysian Prince His Highness Tengku Abdullah Ibni Almurhum and wife, her highness TOH Puan Habibah Yusof as special guests in an intimate dinner held at the Genting Highlands Palace overlooking scenic Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia over the weekend. The dinner was attended by the members of the Royal family, businessmen and friends.

The Gullases opened their beautiful residence in “Bukid” upper Tunghaan, Minglanilla to the Malaysian couple during their visit here in Cebu last summer, and, to strengthen the ties between the families, the Tengkus invited the Gullases to visit them in Malaysia.

Aside from visiting the Tengku family, Congressman Gullas also took time to study the operation of the Kuala Lumpur Light Rail Transit System, which now has 12 lines and another line on the drawing board. He also fulfilled a commitment to speak during the closing ceremonies of the Workshop Conference on Drug and Human Trafficking attended by RP embassy officials of Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and East Timor. The conference was organized by Philippine Ambassador to Malaysia Victoriano Lecaros at the Philippine Embassy in Kuala Lumpur.

Inday Mingming had a heyday shopping accompanied by their hosts, going around Malaysia in a Mercedes Benz with an English-speaking driver. Being guests of the members of the royal family, the congressman, his wife and their grandson were treated as VIPs during their stay in Malaysia.
