In American culture, Douglas Fir trees make attractive Christmas trees because their inch-long needles do not easily fall off. “When young, Douglas firs’ dense growth makes them beautiful evergreen,” so it has been said.
“It’s something big in the US because decorating Christmas trees allows for quality family time. Kids get into the whole affair,” Dinah Ramirez, warehouse operations manager, said.
The S&R Fresh Christmas Tree comes with a Pursell’s preservative formulated to sustain or freshen up a greener and more fragrant tree through the Christmas season. “It helps preserve the smell of pine,” Ramirez added.
The preservative is designed to soften wood fibers to help promote liquid absorption and provide nutrients and minerals. For best results, the use of warm water in the basin is advised.
