CEBU, Philippines - Get into the holiday spirit with The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf!

Enjoy the Christmas-y taste of CBTL’s holiday drinks – Apple Caramel Ice-Blended and Apple Pie Tea Latte. Apple Caramel Ice-Blended is a mix of apple cider juice, vanilla powder and caramel while the Apple Pie Tea Latte is a mix of Apple rooibos tea extract and vanilla powder (this is served hot or iced).

Treat the sweet tooth in you to CBTL’s Banoffee Pie, a mini pie of caramelized bananas in toffee and a whipped cream topping or English Scones, traditional English butter and raisin scones that is perfect with tea or coffee.

And while you are treating yourself with these holiday goodies, CBTL also encourages you to share your blessings with others through its Give in to Giving 2010, its yearly “give back” campaign.

CBTL Managing Director Allen Arvin Tan said they have started giving out ticker cards last November 8 yet. Each ticker card has 24 boxes to fill in – one box each for tea latte, Holiday drink, and original ice blended. The rest of the boxes would be the customer’s drink of choice. The boxes to be filled signify the number of ways that CBTL patrons can help the poor yet deserving scholars of the Real Life Foundation since a percentage of the sales from the promo will be given to the foundation.

Tan explained that while in the past years CBTL would link with different charitable institutions and let their customers choose which institution to give their donations to, this year, CBTL decided to choose only one charity to support. CBTL’s beneficiary for this year is the Real Life Foundation, an institution that provides material and financial assistance to underprivileged Filipinos through its scholarship programs.

As a “thank you” gift for the generosity of their customers, CBTL will give a “giving” journal to those who complete their ticker cards. The stamping of ticker cards will be until January 31, 2011 and completed ticker cards can still be redeemed 60 days after the promo ends.
