Dinner-Concert with Sax

CEBU, Philippines - Casino Filipino de Cebu, Ralph’s Wines and Spirits, and SKAL-International Cebu chapter presents “The Prince of Sax,” an evening with dashing saxophonist Dr. Michael Young as he dishes out soulful tunes and timeless melodies in a memorable dinner-concert slated this coming Monday, Nov. 29 at the Casino Español de Cebu.

One of Manila’s better-known saxophonists, Dr. Young has performed with such artists as Cynthia Alexander, Lynn Sherman, Tots Tolentino, Johnny Allegre, Nico Maca, Rul Sunico and many more.

Born to a German-American father and a Filipina mother who are both bio-chemists, Dr. Young holds a doctoral degree of Musical Arts at the University of Southern California. Prior to that, he graduated with a Masters of Music magna cum laude, at the same university. He spent his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan.

Michael  Young is currently a professor of saxophone at the University of the Philippines Diliman, University of Santo Tomas and St. Paul University Manila.
