Our Eco House Tour

- Angelic Jaianne I. Sucayre -

CEBU, Philippines - On the morning of November 6, Saturday, we assembled at The FREEMAN Building along D. Jakosalem Street. At 7 o’clock, the coaster lent to us by Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino arrived, so we formed our line. When we entered the bus, the staff of The FREEMAN Kid Stuff gave us our SM Eco Bag. Then we greeted Kuya Harris, our driver.

When we arrived in Barangay Talamban, we entered the “green house” owned by Engr. Nestor D. Archival. Then, we were led to a nipa hut or bahay kubo for the orientation.

“Even waste is a resource.” This we learned from Kuya Fer J. Jun G. Baldo, a staff of the Archival House (A House Close to Nature). He was our guide for the Eco House Tour organized for 27 kids who are loyal readers of this section. He taught us many things about how to recycle our trash. The photos could speak well about what we went through and felt during that memorable weekend tour.
