Crimson resort & spa mactan opens

The weather wasn’t cooperating that day but it did not dampen the festive mood over at the latest resort destination in Mactan, the Crimson Resort and Spa of the Filinvest Development Corporation when it had its grand launch last October 8 with no less than the presidential sisters Ballsy Aquino-Cruz and Pinky Aquino-Abellada as guests of honor.

Hordes of the metro’s prominent and distinguished personalities showed up, including Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama, Congressman Tommy Osmeña with Cebu City Councilor Margot Osmeña, former Cebu City Councilor Atty. Joy Pesquera, former Cebu City Congressman Raul del Mar, 6th District Congressman Luigi Quisumbing, Lapu-Lapu City Councilor Queenie Malingin-Amann and of course, Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Paz Radaza were all accounted for. Some friends from the Manila media were there too, Franco Emman Voncena the Philippine Daily Inquirer, RJ Ledesma of the Philippine Star, Lorraine Rafols of Manila Bulletin, Vanessa Ledesma of Mega Magazine and Jacs Sampayan of Town & Country. Also, showing their support were Cebu’s GM Circle composed of Marcus Kraus of the Hilton Cebu Resort and Spa, Hembler Mendoza of Waterfront Mactan Airport Hotel, Ritchie Cang and Ed Tongco of Imperial Palace Waterpark, Efren Belarmino of Plantation Bay Resort and Spa and Garry Garcia of BE Resorts.

The Crimson Resort and Spa offers personalized service where one is treated like royalty. They have premium suites and villas that ensure privacy amidst lush greenery. There are also four F&B outlets where one can indulge in – the Safron Café overlooking the pool and offering the best of East and West , the Azure Pool Bar where one can enjoy the latest bar concoctions with Asian and Western tapas, the Tempo Music Lounge and, the Score Sports Bar. Other facilities and amenities such as an indoor badminton court, fitness center, children’s playground, beachfront cabanas, infinity pool, water sports, island-hopping and other customized activities are also available whatever your pleasure may be. Not to be missed is the Aum Spa where one can truly relax and get pampered while enjoying the rejuvenating indulgence.

We were there for just a few hours but I truly enjoyed every single minute of it –the amiable staff, personalized service, good food, beautiful and relaxing scenery….what more could I ask for? If time permits, I promise myself to go back there and spend a night or two and experience furthermore what the Crimson is all about.
