Fr. Manuel Uy, S.J. turns 45

CEBU, Philippines - The Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu community celebrated the 45th birthday of school president Fr. Manuel Uy, S.J. in a simple but very meaningful way last August 27, one day ahead of his August 28 birthday.

The day started with the celebration of a Holy Mass followed by the giving of gifts and honor to the birthday celebrator.

In his message to the school community, Fr. Uy said that he is “a collector of good deeds” and was overwhelmed by the honor given to him.

He also said that the best birthday gift that he would want to receive is for the Ateneo Hearters to do something good for others.

Fr. Manny assumed the position of school president last school year. (THE FREEMAN)
