The children of Dr. Susana B. Cabahug, now the officer-in-charge of Mandaue City College, organized a party during her 75th birthday last August 11 at the Sarrosa International Hotel.
The celebrator wore a blue gown during the Mass and a champagne-colored gown designed by Arcy Gayatin during the program.
Dr. Omar Cabahug, a neurologist practicing in Henderson and Las Vegas, Nevada with his wife Susan and sons Marco and Nikko came home for the occasion. Waldo Cabahug, a holder of computerized business diploma from Drake Business School in New York City, and his wife Janeth Jamora, a nurse, and only daughter Ninabeth could not come home as the whole family was in an orientation at the University of Notre Dame, Indiana, where Nina is enrolled in pre-medicine.
Dr. Jason Cabahug, a diplomate in internal medicine practicing in Mandaue City, was with his wife Fe Abellana and children Karlyne Kara with husband Ritchum Marc Denison and son Khalil, and sons Clyde and Andre. Gladys Cabahug-Santos, Human Resource Officer of Lexmark and President of PMAP-Cebu Chapter, was with her beautiful daughters Mikhaila and Maraiah; her husband Michael greeted the celebrator via Skype from Doha, Qatar.
The momentous occasion started with a Thanksgiving Mass celebrated by Msgr. Renato C. Beltran, P.C., Vice Chancellor of Archdiocese of Cebu, followed by a grand cotillion by the Cabahug children and spouses, as well as the celebrator’s nephews and nieces. Dinner then followed, as well as the showing of an AVP of the life and times of Dr. Cabahug. There was also a dance of lovely roses with 20 closest gentlemen relatives and friends, followed by well-wishes from selected family members and guests, including Mandaue City Mayor Jonas C. Cortes and wife Sarah, Dr. Girlie de Guia, Engr. Zoilo M. Cortes, Miss Mary Paulin and Mandaue City college staff.
Host of the evening was Dr. Leo Acibar. Old-time friends who graced the occasion were Capt. Rodulfo and Emma Estanpador from Manila, Victoria Su-Refuerzo and children from San Francisco, USA, Yolanda Oporto, Mary Paulin and nephew Tata Paulin, Dr. Eladio Dioko and daughter Dr. Suga, Atty. Lorenzo Paradiang Jr., Hon. Diosdado Suico, Conchita Go, Dr. Jojo and Edith Cortes, Gloria Cañete, Alma Reyes, Jovencia Jamora, Engr. Andres and Elvira Suson, Rey and Emily Emacis, Manny Monleon, Atty. Paterno and Sally Acabodillo, Atty. James and Corazon Gupana, and Generosa Cortes-Esthemio.
