Pet Expo at the Persimmon

CEBU, Philippines - Aboitiz Land once again hosted a pet day at the Persimmon dubbed as Pet Expo 2. This is to promote Persimmon as a pet friendly environment.

The two-day event kicked off last Saturday. It was organized by Universal Pitbull Kennel Club and the Cebu Pitbull Club. Pet owners brought along their pets, which ranged from arachnids, rodents, dogs, birds, etc.

A number of pet organizations participated in the two day event such as IRO Island Rescue Organization, an organization that promotes responsible ownership and humane treatment of all animals through cooperation, outreach and education. The group is now raising funds to build their sanctuary for stray animals. The Cebu Arachnida Society, a group of tarantula and scorpion lovers, as well as owners of pets from other species of the arachnid family also joined the event. COVY, a group of guinea pigs owners, and newly organized Hedgehog Lovers of Cebu, also participated in the event.
