A Thousand Kilos More of Old Clothes and Fresh Starts

CEBU, Philippines - Cebuanos are once again urged to join Electrolux, a global leader in household appliances, into turning their old clothes into Cebu’s biggest charity wash event. Last year, Electrolux collected more than a thousand kilos worth of clothing donations, which culminated in a washing event that earned a Silver Award from the Philippine Association of National Advertisers.

This year, the charity wash event will take place at Metro Ayala, Cebu, on August 13, 2010. Donated garments will be washed, dried, ironed, folded, and donated to the charity institution, Tabang Patrol. Local celebrities will be present to help wash and iron the clothes during the event, where 10 pairs of Electrolux washers and dryers and an ironing station will be setup. Clothing donations are accepted from July 30th to August 12th at ABS-CBN, North Jagobiao, Mandaue City, and at the baggage counters of Metro Ayala and Metro Mandaue.
