Shangri-La's Mactan Brings Back The Ultimate Adventure For Teens

- PR -

CEBU, Philippines - With the success of Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa, Cebu’s iCAMP last April, the resort brings back the ultimate one of a kind adventure for teens: iCAMP season two. From July 15 to 18, 2010, teens aged from 13 to 18 years are invited to participate in four days and three nights of non-stop fun and learning through an experiential program especially designed for their age group. The program’s objectives include enhancing participants’ social and teamwork skills while providing them with avenues for learning valuable life lessons. iCAMP season two is available for as low as P23,807 net per person for a “live in” package and P16,400 net per person for a “live out” package.

For most of the pioneering iCAMPers, the experience was truly transformational.

“I must say that I’ve learned a lot from iCAMP. Aside from the physical skills, I learned a lot more about myself. I learned that we should always persevere and not to keep thinking in a negative way,” said Kenzo Uang, a season one participant.

Another pioneer iCAMPer, Willia Cabatingan, said, “I am glad my mom introduced me to this iCAMP experience. The most exciting and most important things I’ve experienced over the past three days are the power of friendship, the bond of teamwork. I discovered that I had abilities I did not know were inside me. I was able to do things I never thought I would be able to do.”

Recognizing the need to keep teens active and engaged, the iCAMP team at Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa, Cebu prepared various activities for each day and night of the iCAMPer’s stay.

“I was really overjoyed to go snorkeling, jet-skiing, rappelling and wall climbing; we did all I wanted to do, and then did some more,” said Gianni, a pioneer iCAMPer, while narrating how much she enjoyed the activities in her testimonial.

Day one, the Getting to Know You Day, begins with a welcome lunch, orientation and tour of the resort. In the afternoon, iCAMPers go through a basic camping course. The evening is capped with a bonfire barbecue dinner at the beachfront with a fire dance show and fire zipping lessons. Day two is spent outdoors, learning about marine life and caring for the ocean through lessons, an island hopping activity on nearby islands and islets, a jet-ski activity, snorkeling and a whole lot more. On day three, iCAMPers are given the opportunity to be more responsible global citizens when they learn about sustainable living through lectures, hands-on recycling and planting activities. On their final day, iCAMPers share their learning and self-discovery through a culminating and awarding ceremony.

Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa, Cebu’s iCAMP season two is available at P23,807 net per person for triple occupancy. The package includes three nights accommodation in a Superior Gardenview Room, meals including morning and afternoon snacks, all activities and a summer camp kit. A live out package option is available at P16,400 net per person and includes meals with morning and afternoon snacks, all activities and a summer camp kit.
